Get off I-65 at Exit 6 and drive two minutes east, and you'll land on a courthouse square that looks like it was built for a postcard. The 1880s courthouse anchors the middle of it, brick storefronts wrap around all four sides, and the First United Methodist Church sits on the corner where Johnny Cash and June Carter got married back in 1968. It's a real town square, not a shopping center dressed up to look like one, and it's usually the first thing people remember about Franklin after they visit.
